Friend,
While the federal government descends into partisan bickering, we at the state level have to prepare a response to their inaction. The failure of Washington means less resources for small businesses, schools, homeowners, tenants, and those who are most in need of assistance. Their approach to handling this crisis will be felt in every part of our district, which is why we need to act now.
We need a plan that is fair to all New Yorkers and deals with the realities we are facing. During this pandemic, working New Yorkers are struggling to get by while New York's 118 billionaires have increased their net worth by $44.9 billion. When many New Yorkers are struggling just to pay rent or property taxes to stay in their homes, others have waited out COVID-19 in the Hamptons. We cannot go back to the austerity of the past that unfairly burdens those who are struggling most. It is time for every one to pitch in what is fair and help get New York through this crisis.
So, if you believe like I believe, that New York is at its best when it is a community working together, I am asking you to join me in this fight and show your support. By signing the petition below, you are telling me and my team that we have to keep fighting for a fairer system that rebuilds New York in a more equitable way for all. We are fighting for a better district, a better borough, a better city, a better state, and a better country everyday but we can’t win without your support.

Thank you. I know we can do this together.
