Friend,
2020 has been a tough year. The impacts of COVID-19, a difficult recession, tax increases and complete incompetence at the unemployment department keep our families and small businesses struggling.
Now is no time for all the partisan divisiveness, now is the time to work together, fight for each other and rebuild our future.
Friend, I’ve always put the people of Bend first - and when I stood up to power and said “no” to the most powerful and partisan special interests in our state, they put me on the top of their target list for defeat!
They didn’t like that I put Bend families first when I voted against higher taxes on home heat, gas, and cell phones.
They didn’t like that I put Bend kids first by voting to put more money into the classrooms instead of a broken pension system they refuse to fix.
They spent months in Bend recruiting a candidate to run against me - and they got their man - a 100% rubber stamp for an agenda that comes from Salem partisans, not from Bend citizens.
I lead independently and honestly. And if that’s the kind of leader you want in Salem, then I need you to help me today.
They are coming after me with all their money, power, and their entire statewide campaign machine. They’ve already started attacking me and lying about my record.
Won’t you stand up with me today to put Bend first?
Working families already have tight budgets. We shouldn’t put more strain on them just to benefit the partisan agenda of the special interests.
Let’s stand together and put the people of Bend first with strong, independent leadership in Salem.
