In 2024, I ran for Congress in Maryland. I fought as hard as I knew how. I knocked on doors, made calls, and connected with voters.

The voters who heard my message? They were with me.

The problem was getting heard at all.

Dark money donors spent MILLIONS of dollars to drown me out, and it worked. I watched it happen in real time — ads I couldn't match, mailers I couldn't answer, and a wall of money between me and the voters I was trying to reach.

When you have that kind of money, you don't have to win the argument. You just have to make sure the other side can't be heard.

I could've walked away. God knows it would've been easier.

But I filed to run again.

I stood inside the United States Capitol on January 6th and watched Donald Trump's mob try to tear our democracy apart with their bare hands. I held the line that day. I testified. I fought back with everything I had.

And I'll be damned if I let dark money and MAGA intimidation knock me down.

I'm running for this district, for this state, and for the idea that our democracy is worth defending even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard.

That means standing up to Donald Trump. It means standing up to the billionaires and the PACs and the anonymous money that's quietly buying our elections out from under us.
