It isn’t easy to say this: We’re facing a serious fundraising gap, with only a short amount of time to turn things around. We need to raise another $14,285 before my next meeting in 90 minutes, and we’re not where we need to be. Will you please chip in $5 or as much as you can spare to help us make up the gap?

I’ll tell you the truth.

The fact that the Senate Leadership Fund – the only GOP super PAC solely dedicated to protecting and expanding the Republicans’ majority – is spending $79 million in Ohio should make us all sound the alarm. They’re spending more here than any other race in the country – and it's because our campaign has a strong shot to win.

The reason they're so worried? They know Senate control runs through Ohio.

It’s going to take overwhelming grassroots resources to compete with this onslaught of dark money – and that’s where folks like you come in. We can’t raise a million dollars from one email, but we can raise the $14,285 we need right now to make up our budget gap and hold the line in this race.

If we can’t close this gap, I’ll have to go into my next meeting ready to make some tough budget decisions that will directly affect our ability to run TV ads, recruit volunteers, and expand our voter contact program.

So please: Will you chip in $25 or even $5 to help us get back on track, win in Ohio, and flip the Senate?
