In case you missed the email, our Young Democrats of America (YDA) Secretary Rebecca Pinn, has informed us that President Joshua Harris-Till and Treasurer Dunixi Guereca, with the approval of the National Committee, shall be appointing a number of Administrative Officers along with Chairs, Vice Chairs, and Secretaries of both Standing and Select Committees. KEY DATES (You can find the full appointment process and timeline here.)
August 1st: Applications open.
September 1st: Applications close.
September 2nd - September 15th: Applicant outreach and interviews will be conducted.
September 21st: The President and Treasurer make their appointment recommendations to the Officers.
September 23rd: Individuals recommended for appointment will be informed of their selection and formally asked to accept the position pending approval of the National Committee. Individuals not selected for appointment will be informed they were not selected.
September 30th: In order to be as transparent and as informative as possible, the National Committee will receive the recommended appointments along with answers to candidate questions and other supplemental information (Refer to: http://bit.ly/2019SAMPLE). This information will be both emailed to the National Committee and posted on the YDA website.
Next National Committee meeting: The slate of individuals recommended for appointment is formally presented to the National Committee at the first National Committee Meeting of the biennium.
Please consider applying for a position or promoting other active young Democrats in your state or territory to consider applying. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on September 1st. Once your application is submitted, they will contact you with more information about next steps.
