This event will showcase the work of NYCI’s “Young People, AI and Emerging Technologies” project including:
  • Launch of the report from our AI Youth Juries
  • Projects from youth services exploring  AI and data with young people.
  • NYCI's CPD programme for Youth Workers, aimed at equipping them with the skills to harness this technology.
The launch event will be opened by Deputy Malcolm Byrne, Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on AI and followed by a panel discussion alongside:
  • Mick Ferron, CEO of the National Youth Council of Ireland.
  • Dr. Abeba Birhane, member of Ireland's AI Advisory Council and an adjunct assistant professor at the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin.
  • Amanda Jolliffe, Dream Space Lead at Microsoft where she works to design and implement immersive programs for young people to enhance their STEM skills.
  • And a young person who participated in NYCI’s youth consultation on AI.
This will be followed by a light lunch and a chance to engage with some of the young people and youth services we have had the pleasure to work with.

We hope that you will join us on the day. If you wish to attend, please confirm before places are booked.

Kind regards,

Reuban
