"Trump opposes funding Postal Service because it would increase vote by mail"
-- 8/13/20

John,

This election will be unlike any we've experienced before. As we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, more Americans than ever will rely on the USPS to safely deliver their ballots this year. But President Trump is actively trying to prevent voters from exercising their constitutional right.

Trump admitted last week that he's refusing to fund the USPS -- in the middle of a pandemic -- to sabotage mail-in voting and prevent people from safely voting from home.

This is a clear act of voter suppression and we can't let it stand. Kim and the House Democrats are returning to Congress to demand answers and pass legislation to protect the Postal Service from this sabotage. And while the Postmaster General announced yesterday he's suspending the changes until after the election, this isn't enough. He needs to take immediate action to reverse the damages already done -- and explain why these changes were made in the first place.

The USPS is essential for millions of Americans, particularly those in rural communities where other delivery services don't reach. And with one of the most important elections of our lifetimes coming up, millions of voters will rely on the USPS to safely deliver their mail-in ballots.

Voting is our constitutional right. If we're going to protect our democracy and ensure all Americans have the opportunity to make their voices safely heard this election, we need to fight back against Trump's attacks.

If you agree all Americans should be able to safely cast their vote, add your name to fight back against Trump's attacks on the USPS and mail-in voting.

Thanks,

Team Schrier
