Thanks to your support, we got elected to the U.S. Congress in 2018 to shake up the unjust status quo, and hit the ground running during my first term.

We’ve delivered exceptional constituent services and pushed meaningful legislation birthed in Michigan’s 13th district, centering the most vulnerable to ensure that our government works on behalf of everyone. We connected with people who had lost trust in government after seeing their elected representatives sell them out. And we outworked the hate, speaking out against Islamophobia, racism, and smear campaigns from powerful people who want to defeat us.

Our re-election campaign itself took place during unprecedented times. We weren’t just campaigning for ourselves, but showing up for others and making sure our people had what they needed to get through the COVID-19 pandemic—all while demanding change and the end to systemic racism.

We’ve accomplished so much together (including winning our campaign!) without a dime of corporate money: Our average donation is just $25, from everyday people around the country. Our campaign is beholden to the people, not corporate special interests.

Our victory—and other progressive wins across the country—showed that organized people can beat organized money, and that our movement to prioritize people over profits is growing. Now it’s onward to November so we can defeat this impeached President and show up for each other along the way.
