Hi Friend, Please join us for today's episode of "8:46", our Anti-Racism Education Summer Series at 4:00pm PST on our Facebook page. As you know by now, this series started after the violent police homicide of George Floyd. For many, this is the first time you finally heard and answered the call of the Black community to do better and advocate for change. Learning what systemic racism and white supremacy are is just half the battle in achieving racial equity. Once we're done with this series, you'll be expected to put your words into action and support the work being done statewide to make Black Lives Matter in every corner of our great state. Join us for a conversation on the racist history of the UNLV mascot. Professor AB Wilkinson of the UNLV Department of History and Fawn Douglas of the Native American Student Association will lead this discussion. If you're unable to make it, the episode will be archived on Facebook.
