My team and I have spoken with neighbors throughout the district at the doors, on the phones, and at protests who are upset with the Governor’s vetoes of important legislation, like collective bargaining, protection from ICE, and prescription drug affordability. Times are incredibly stressful due to wages not keeping up with the economy, people being disappeared by ICE, and unaffordable costs of health care.
When Democrats have the majority, we cannot continue with business as usual.
That’s why in our race for Congress, we have no intention of “going back to the way it was” because yesterday’s centrism led to today’s fascism.
Our campaign is driven by delivering for working families.
My experience in Virginia shows what’s possible: we expanded SNAP for 25,000 Virginian families, expanded free school meals for tens of thousands of Virginian children, increased TANF cash assistance for Virginia’s lowest income families, and repealed racist laws. This is the experience that fuels our run - that we can have a government that helps people.
This district will flip blue, but the type of Democrat we elect is in your hands on August 4th. We need your support to overpower the status quo.
Will you chip in $5, $15, or $25 to continue to fund [ [link removed] ] a movement built on delivering - not just promising?
Together,
Salaam
