I still remember how quickly our team reacted when we got the call to assist at a heartbreaking scene in New York’s Hudson Valley.


When we arrived, more than 170 animals were wasting away on filth and debris—and the remains of their herdmates. **We had to step past the bodies of the dead to get to the living. For those survivors, including brave little Aretha, a long nightmare is now over.**
