Friend,

It has come to this. Donald Trump is trying to slow down the Postal Service to undermine the integrity of this election. We are suing to stop him.

Watch and share my interview about the work we’re doing and the work you can do to make sure your vote counts.

Like many of the Trump Administration’s policies, its changes to USPS are illegal. Modifications to the Postal Service with a nationwide impact on mail service must be submitted to the Postal Regulatory Commission. Donald Trump can’t just wake up and unilaterally disrupt our mail system.

So we filed the suit yesterday – and within minutes, Postmaster Louis DeJoy put out a statement to walk back some of his disastrous policies. But, friend, I’m not buying it. We can’t take Donald Trump and his cronies at their word. We need legal, binding agreements to protect our elections and hold this administration accountable. So we will see them in court.

I’ve also been in touch with leaders in Massachusetts to expand options for safe voting – like non-USPS ballot drop boxes and expanded early in-person voting. We are all working toward the goal of ensuring a fair and safe election, where all votes are counted. The number one way to fight back is to use your voice and your vote. Find out what the rules are in your city or town and cast your ballot early, if you can.

I promise you this: your ballot will be counted. Please, continue to have faith in our democracy despite Donald Trump’s efforts to undermine it. He is trying to create chaos and doubt in voters’ minds – we can’t let him succeed.
