Friend, Last week Carolyn Long tried to distance herself from the liberal Defund the Police Movement that’s sweeping the nation. But will she distance herself from radical organizations like Indivisible Greater Vancouver and Indivisible Oregon who have given her campaign major support? The Seattle City Council is demanding drastic cuts to the Seattle PD of up to 50%, and these organizations are lining up to endorse the crippling of our law enforcement and first responders. To say that these radical groups want to gut America’s police departments is not an understatement, it’s simply the truth. And shockingly, these same groups have endorsed Carolyn Long and trained her supporters for months! When will Carolyn Long stand up, do the right thing, and disavow these radical liberals? Instead of embracing inflammatory rhetoric, Jaime has spent her time co-sponsoring The Justice Act, a policing reform bill that among many things would create an emergency grant program for body-worn cameras and strengthen reporting requirements for use-of-force incidents and no-knock warrants. The choice is clear. On one side you have Carolyn Long who embraces the radical groups pushing to Defund the Police, and on the other you have Jaime Herrera Beutler who instead gets to work and creates meaningful change to address the problems we all face. Thanks,
Team Jaime
