Aaron Flint and his Super PAC backers think they have this open seat in the bag because 2024 was a massive pro-Trump year. But after the president and his party have managed to drive up inflation, send gas prices through the roof, gut Medicare and Medicaid to pay for a billionaire tax cut, and trample all over the constitutional rights of our neighbors and communities—we think things will look a little different this November.

When Ryan was on the ballot in 2024, he significantly outperformed the Kamala Harris campaign here in MT-01. In fact, during that election that skewed strongly toward Trump and the GOP, he pulled in more total votes in the western district than Ryan Zinke in 2022. Flipping this seat in a midterm year is possible, but only if Ryan is our nominee.

Now, as the electoral environment has violently swung against Donald Trump and Republicans in Washington, we have a very real chance to flip MT-01 and take back the House majority. Ryan Busse is the right candidate for this moment and we intend to prove that in our primary election on June 2nd.

Whoever emerges as the Republican nominee will have a flood of billionaire and dark money cash behind them. We intend to match them not at their own shady game, but with real grassroots support from the folks feeling the negative impacts of the last two years the most.
