Here is the situation:

After the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, South Carolina’s Republican lawmakers swiftly moved to divide the state’s lone Democratic district in an attempt to push Rep. Clyburn out of Congress.

Jim Clyburn is a pioneering and principled leader who has spent his career fighting for South Carolinians. Republicans are trying to ram these maps through before early voting in the state begins in just two days, so that is why I am asking for you to support Rep. Clyburn’s reelection campaign today.

He will need to hit the ground running to take on this fight, so the time to act is now. We must take on these tough races in order to reclaim our country this November, but Rep. Clyburn cannot do it alone. No one can.
