Email from Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation Explore our latest May 2026 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE 33 Years of Hope and a New Frontier Dear John, Next month, ARPF turns 33! It’s a celebration of prevention, research, and – most importantly – the community that made it all possible. Now, as we enter this new chapter in 2026, we are launching our work at the intersection of yoga, Brain Longevity®, and healthy aging by translating decades of clinical experience and emerging research into practical, evidence-informed tools for individuals, caregivers, and practitioners. As our understanding of prevention continues to evolve, so does our work. Stay tuned, we have more big news coming your way. John, get ready for a month of reflection, community voices, and special birthday surprises. Thank you for helping us reach this 33-year milestone... the best is yet to come. We can't wait to kick off the celebration with you in just a few weeks. Yours in Brain Health, Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D. President / Medical Director SUPPORT PREVENTION WORLDWIDE JOIN THE CELEBRATION Honor A Special Woman Mother’s Day may have officially passed, but at ARPF, we aren’t quite ready to stop celebrating the women who mean everything to us. In fact, we’ve decided to keep the celebration going all the way through our 33rd Birthday in June. Why? Because protecting Brain Longevity® is a year-round mission. We’ve created a special Celebration Page, and we’d love for you to add the name of a woman you love – your mom, a grandmother, a mentor, or a dear friend. It’s a way to honor her legacy while helping us protect her future. ADD HER NAME TO OUR CELEBRATION PAGE EDUCATION RECAP Putting Out The Fire Webinar As always, we are touched to see the response to our educational initiatives. Here's what participants of our last webinar had to say: I appreciate all of the knowledge and information that was shared today. Much to think about. I will look over my notes and find ways to integrate this information into my yoga classes and life. I appreciate ARPF for providing these easily accessible and informative webinars to help us all care for ourselves, our families, our student/clients, and our communities! Thank you for sharing profound knowledge and information based on research related to the effects of particulate pollution in the cause of Alzheimer's disease. Please stay tuned – we have more amazing programs coming! SUPPORT EDUCATION EDUCATION OUTREACH How Kirtan Kriya Enhances Creativity ARPF CEO Kirti Khalsa recently shared insights on how meditation promotes creativity at a special Live Arts Boston (LAB) program, at the invitation of arts leader and NBC‑HWC health coach Veronique Le Melle, MPA, RYT200. Kirti spoke about how a healthier brain is a more creative brain. Drawing on ARPF research, she highlighted how the simple, 12‑minute Kirtan Kriya practice can boost blood flow to the prefrontal cortex – the area of the brain involved in focus, decision‑making, and creative problem‑solving – and help calm the limbic system, which drives our stress and emotional reactivity. By improving this balance, Kirtan Kriya reduces the stress that blocks inspiration and supports a more natural state of creative flow. Live Arts Boston, funded by The Boston Foundation and the Barr Foundation, is an immersive grant initiative that aims to support artists at any stage of their creative process with a balanced focus on personal and professional development with an integrated approach. By bringing the science of Brain Longevity® and Kirtan Kriya into this ecosystem, ARPF is honored to help artists protect their brain health, sustain their creativity, and thrive as culture‑shapers in their communities. PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT Kirtan Kriya Guided Meditation ARPF research reveals that doing the Kirtan Kriya yoga meditation for 12 minutes a day improves memory, concentration, and attention. This exercise also increases mental energy, improves your genes, and decreases depression as well as inflammation. If you are ordering from outside the USA, this is the ideal option to receive your Kirtan Kriya file in a fast and secure manner.
