It’s official. Today is *checks calendar* exactly five months since Cindy Hyde-Smith told Mississippians that coronavirus would be under control in “a couple of weeks.”

Well, Senator. It’s been a lot longer than “a couple of weeks.”

COVID-19 is still on the rise in Mississippi. Our state’s net positivity rate remains the highest in the nation. We have one of the highest infection rates among children, right in the middle of back-to-school. One teacher has already died.

Instead of taking action and fighting for COVID-19 relief for the people of Mississippi, Cindy Hyde-Smith and Mitch McConnell snuck out of Washington to take off for their August summer vacations.

But I guess that’s all you can expect from a do-nothing political hack who dismissed the virus as “scare tactics” and argued that we should “put the brakes on” additional COVID-19 relief.

In the middle of this crisis, it’s never been more urgent to replace Cindy Hyde-Smith on November 3. Will you please chip in $10, or whatever you can, to elect Mike Espy?

Confederate Cindy Hyde-Smith’s failed leadership is no longer something Mississippi can suffer through. Rest assured: Unlike Cindy Hyde-Smith, Mike Espy would never leave for vacation while Mississippians battle a deadly pandemic.

Thanks,
