It’s been a tough couple of months for Michigan farmers, businesses, workers,
and families. 


COVID-19 threw a wrench into economies across the globe, and Michigan was no
exception. 


I know many Michiganders are struggling to make ends meet, but I want to make
one thing absolutely clear — there is light at the end of this tunnel, John. 


Michigan’s economy is going to come out the other side stronger than ever
before. 


We’re going to revitalize our neglected neighborhoods and get our forgotten
farms back on track.

 

We’re going to make Michigan one of the best places to be an entrepreneur or
small business owner. And, John, we’re going to turn Michigan back into the
manufacturing capital of the world. 


But it’s not going to be easy. 


It’s going to require a lot of hard work, faith, and buy-in from folks from
every corner of our state.

 

We must rebuild the American Dream for future generations — our children
deserve to experience the same promise and opportunity that have defined us as
a nation. 


It’s going to take all of us, John, but I know that we can get Michigan’s
economy back on track, and better than ever.
