While Minnesota families struggle with high taxes, rising costs, and
stretched budgets,billions in taxpayer dollars are being stolen through massive
fraud in our social welfare programs.

Just weeks ago, on April 28, federal agents raided 22 sites across the Twin
Cities — many of them childcare centers and Medicaid providers — as part of an
ongoing investigation into fraud that has already cost us hundreds of millions.
This isn’t isolated. It’s part of a pattern of waste and abuse that’s drawn
national attention and even federal funding holds.

I didn’t spend 21 years as a Marine and Navy SEAL — deploying nine times,
leading high-stakes missions, and holding myself and my teams to unbreakable
standards — just to watch politicians let this kind of corruption slide.

Enough is enough. Minnesota deserves real accountability, not more excuses or
half-measures.

As a United States senator, I will fight to root out fraud, protect every
hard-earned taxpayer dollar, and ensure programs meant to help those in need
actually do so — without lining the pockets of criminals.

The legislature just passed a bill aimed at helping to stop the worst of this
