Dear John,

Wednesday, August 19, 2020 | 5 P.M. ET

Don't forget to tune in TONIGHT on Facebook Live (facebook.com/CoalitiontoStopGunViolence) to join us for a Virtual Roundtable discussion on Gun Violence in America before the Democratic National Convention!

At 5pm EST, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) will be joining Brady, Community Justice Action Fund, Giffords, March for Our Lives, and Everytown for Gun Safety for a virtual roundtable. During this time, we will be discussing evidence-based policy solutions that will address gun violence in all its forms -- from domestic violence, to mass shootings, to community violence, to firearm suicide.

With a Democratic win in November, we have the power to make gun violence rare and abnormal in this country!

The roundtable discussion will be moderated by Congresswoman Lucy McBath who has been a gun violence prevention advocate since 2012 when her 17-year-old son Jordan Davis was shot and killed in Jacksonville, FL. Following this tragedy, Rep. McBath dedicated herself to fighting for common-sense gun legislation and, in 2019, she was elected to the House of Representatives for the state of Georgia. She continues to work side-by-side with organizations like CSGV and fight tirelessly for meaningful change that will save American lives.

GVP Panelists for the Virtual Roundtable include:

Dakota Jablon, Director of Federal Affairs, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence
Kelly Sampson, Senior Counsel and Director of Racial Justice, Brady
Greg Jackson, National Advocacy Director, Community Justice Action Fund
Nico Bocour, Government Affairs Director, Giffords
Maxwell Frost, National Organizing Director, March For Our Lives
Khary Penebaker, DNC Delegate and Member of Everytown Survivor Network

We hope to see you tonight for what will certainly be a meaningful discussion: facebook.com/CoalitiontoStopGunViolence!
