Is there a bigger loser than Donald Trump?
Politico recently reported that federal judges have ruled against Trump’s illegal ICE policies more than 10,000 times. That’s roughly 90 percent of all cases brought.
In each and every one of these cases, we’re talking about real people with real families:
Parents ripped away from their kids, picked up by ICE in the school drop-off line or while heading to church. Children as young as four years old traumatized and punished, appearing in court alone and facing deportation. People with lawful status arrested and detained at the courthouse before their immigration hearing.
Immigrants who've lived in this country for decades, disappeared into a detention system where phones don't work, lawyers can't get through, and no one knows where they are.
And by now, the Trump administration has made it clear these brutal tactics were never about upholding the law and protecting public safety. How could they be, if they’re actively breaking the law and making our communities less safe?
The cruelty has always been the point. Visible and commonplace enough that we become desensitized to the brutality and pain — enough that we stop speaking out.
But I won't, and I don't think you will either.
I will not stop fighting to end mass detention and shut down the horrific family detention centers that are profiting from human rights abuses.
Right now, federal judges are holding the line, but it’s up to us to push the work forward. We need to win elections. We need to take back the House and shut down the corrupt, chaotic, and cruel MAGA majority that’s enabling this brutal administration.
Will you join my efforts to flip the House with a contribution of any amount today? Your donations go directly to our work on the ground making sure I’m re-elected, supporting frontline Democratic colleagues in tough races, and boosting Democratic challengers working to flip red seats.
