South Asia
Praise God for a

massive rescue operation this week that brought freedom to over 500 women, children and men. IJM supported proactive government officials to free more than 120 families from years of forced labor at multiple brick kilns. Authorities worked diligently to free everyone, including more than 200 children, 10 of whom were newborn babies. Please pray for these families returning home for the first time in years, and praise God for these local authorities who saw the urgent need for justice.
Africa & Europe
Pray for God’s protection and mercy as Uganda faces an Ebola outbreak that threatens communities. Ask God to strengthen health workers who are serving tirelessly and to give them wisdom as they work to contain the spread. Pray for healing for those who are sick, comfort for families in fear and swift coordination among local leaders to protect their communities.
Latin America
Pray for God’s favor as the El Salvador team works with the Ministry of Health to strengthen how health workers care for women and children who seek help after violence. Ask God to guide every step of the review and approval process for the upcoming agreement so the needed trauma-informed trainings can begin soon. Praise God for the openness of health leaders who want to offer more compassionate and protective care.
Asia Pacific
Pray for children in a shelter in Metro Manila who are recovering from online sexual exploitation, asking God to bring healing, safety and renewed hope as they begin long journeys of restoration. Pray also for investigators, judges and partners in the Philippines who work tirelessly to protect children and pursue justice in a global crime that crosses borders. Ask God to strengthen international cooperation so every child can be found, freed and protected.
