John,
"Don't like abortion, don't have one!"
This new approach taken by hardcore abortion advocates has replaced making abortion "safe and rare." "Safe and rare" implies there's something wrong with or messy about abortion.
One group has not adjusted and still claims it wants to reduce abortions: pro-abortion politicians.
Every election season, politicians who support abortion say that electing them will reduce the number of abortions because of other social programs they will enact.
Is that true?
On this week's episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we talk with Professor Michael New about what does and does not reduce the number of abortions. The Catholic University of America professor--who earned his PhD at Stanford and did post-doc work at the Harvard-MIT Data Center--discusses:
- That there is no evidence that government social programs reduce the abortion rate
- The types of laws that do save lives from abortion
- How your grassroots efforts--like 40 Days for Life--change the abortion landscape
