This week in Washington/Colorado politics has been concerning. Is there any week these days that is not?

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has stepped in to tip the scales by endorsing former Governor Hickenlooper - a staunch advocate for the oil and gas industry. 

I think it was very poor judgement and shows a lack of appreciation for the tremendous progressive energy here in Colorado. Many people will not tolerate, much less support a person who does not think that healthcare is a basic right, lacks the will to challenge the gun lobby, who takes money from the fossil fuel industry and who used tax dollars to sue Colorado communities that resisted neighborhood drilling.

Now, progressive grassroots candidates like myself have to fight even harder to advocate for the values that are essential for protecting vulnerable and marginalized communities, confronting the climate emergency and fighting against forces that are trying to suppress the Democratic process, even within our own party.
