These Senate races are up for grabs - but we need to move NOW!? ? ? ? ? If the election were held today, the polling is saying we'd probably lose the Montana Senate race by a couple points.

Steve Daines, the newest member of the Dirty Dozen, cast the deciding vote on an amendment to a bill that would open the door to selling off public lands in Montana to private interests for drilling, mining, and other development. It's incredibly unpopular in Montana ? and he thinks he's going to get away with these votes in November.

Friend ? things are moving quickly, and we may have a shot at swinging the race. This is important ? it could very easily decide control of the Senate.

We need your help. We just dropped a state-wide TV ad hammering Daines on his vote. Our research is showing it's connecting with voters in a serious way ? but we need to keep it going.

We've set a goal of raising $70,000 by the end of the month, and a group of donors is triple-matching every contribution until then. That money goes directly toward winning close races where the environment is in play.

The best thing you can do right now is make an emergency donation to the LCV Victory Fund. Every donation will be triple matched ? even $5 is enough to make a difference ? [link removed]

It's time for Daines to go. We're not going to repeat it here, but after one of Trump's particularly racist tweets, Daines jumped into the conversation with full-throated support. He also backed William Pendley, the racist nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management whose nomination Trump just withdrew to try to avoid controversy.

But there's been a curveball. Steve Bullock ? the current governor of the state, and a strong advocate for public lands and clean energy ? has gotten in the race.

As it stands now, polls have Bullock behind, but only by a few points ? we're closing in. In past cycles, we've helped elect Jon Tester and hold a pro-environment Senate seat in Montana by turning out environmental voters from all sides of the political spectrum.

Friend ? every bit of research we have is telling us the environmental movement ? and how we turn out ? is going to decide this Montana Senate seat. But it's not the only one.

Arizona. Colorado. North Carolina. Michigan. Each of these states could go either way, and each have a member of our Dirty Dozen ? the worst anti-environment candidates in the cycle ? on the ballot:

Martha McSally: In Arizona, a recent poll has the race within two points. Martha McSally has a lifetime LCV score of just 7%. She supported Trump's moves to gut meaningful limits on carbon pollution, and has taken over $650,000 in campaign donations from the corporate oil and gas industries. This is a race that can easily be swung by the environmental movement, but we all need to step up. [link removed]

Cory Gardner: In Colorado, Gardner has earned an 11% lifetime LCV score, and in the first three years of the Trump administration he backed the president's extreme policies over 97% of the time. His race is still within the margin of error, and this could be an incredible chance to pick up a Senate seat. That won't happen if the environmental movement stays home. [link removed]

Thom Tillis: In North Carolina, Senator Tillis has embraced climate change denial even after his own state has been hit by devastating hurricanes in recent years. He's accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions from corporate polluters ? but we have a shot at beating him. I'm hoping we can count on your help. [link removed]

John James: In Michigan, political newcomer John James is challenging a pro-environment senator ? and the race is polling within four points. James has said he supports the Trump agenda "2000%" ? we could lose our shot at the Senate if he takes this seat. Please, pitch in today. Gifts of any size ? even $5 ? will help. [link removed]

Friend ? if we win these races, we flip control of the Senate and take Mitch McConnell out of the leadership spot. It's never been clearer how important that is.

Trump's failures in the past few months have cost tens of thousands of lives. His racism has caused unimaginable suffering. His corruption has cost taxpayers millions of dollars. And his science denial has caused a tremendous amount of damage to the climate, disproportionately impacting communities of color who are hit the hardest by climate-related catastrophes and who suffer more air pollution in their communities. The Senate has not only failed to stop him ? they've helped.

It's time to change that. We're reaching environmental voters in each of these races ? but to expand our efforts, we really need your help.

Please, help reach the $70,000 goal ? every dollar will be tripled. Click here to donate to the LCV Victory Fund ? even $5 can make a difference ? [link removed]

Thank you for everything you do ? we can do this.
