Speaking at the MILCON-VA Subcommittee, Questioning VA Secretary

Yesterday, I spoke twice during a House Appropriations Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies (MILCON-VA) Subcommittee hearing.

Testifying at yesterday's subcommittee hearing were Doug Collins, Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Richard Topping, Assistant Secretary of Management and Chief Financial Officer.

Calling on the Army, Carlyle Group to Increase Transparency and Community Engagement on Proposed Fort Bliss Data Center

I sent a letter to Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll and the Carlyle Group calling for greater transparency, meaningful public engagement, and stronger accountability regarding the proposed Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) data center project at Fort Bliss.

I expressed concern that critical project decisions may be advancing before residents have received clear answers or meaningful opportunities for public input.

Meeting with the Texas Farm Bureau

The issues facing our farmers are not abstract - they affect the cost of food on our tables, supply chains, and families in El Paso.

I met with the Texas Farm Bureau to discuss the challenges family farmers face. Ensuring families can afford everyday necessities starts with understanding the issues affecting every part of our economy. I'm grateful to our farmers that keep Texas' agriculture moving.
