The 2020 election is the most important national election since the start of the Great Depression in 1932 and perhaps 1860 just prior to the Civil War. We must work to ensure that all Americans are able to register to vote and vote easily without risking their health during this pandemic. Currently many states are engaged in voter suppression using legal and illegal methods. Denying citizens the right to vote or make it needlessly difficult to vote is profoundly undemocratic. Widespread voter suppression has a long, ugly and racist history in our nation. This webinar documents voter suppression efforts since the 1890s which have continued to this day. We conclude our time together with a call to action to support organizations fighting to defend and expand our right to vote in fair elections across the country. //



Las elecciones del 2020 son las elecciones nacionales m?s importantes desde el inicio de la Gran Depresi?n en 1932 y tal vez las del 1860 justo antes de la Guerra Civil.
