The starting salary is 21,589 (level 1) rising to 22,911 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improved outcomes for Children in Care. The role requires a passionate and professional individual to coordinate placement searches for children coming into, or moving through, Local Authority Care. Daily duties involve liaison with Social Workers and internal and external care placement providers, to identify placements which best meet a child's needs. The individual will require excellent communication and prioritisation skills, and strong IT capabilities.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*


* Ability to effectivley communicate verbally, over the telephone, electronically and in writing to internal colleagues and external placement providers.
* Awareness of the Local Authority's statutory duties relatingto vulnerable children and young people, and Children in Care
* Ability to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
* Experience of and ability in using, developing and managing a range ICT systems, including spreadsheets, databases and desktop publishing
