# [#]Friend,
Ballots have arrived in mailboxes across San Diego County. That means it's time every eligible voter has the freedom to cast a ballot without unnecessary hurdles.
Extreme politicians in Washington aren't making it easy. They're pushing legislation that puts new hurdles in front of millions of eligible voters without doing much to enhance election security.
Democrats voted against the poorly named SAVE Act designed to make voting harder for millions of Americans. Like my congressional colleagues, I will always stand up for accessible, secure elections for all.
Let me be clear where I stand on this issue:
Voting is a fundamental right for every American citizen enshrined in our U.S. Constitution. Voting should be secure, accessible and easy.
What we do not need is a system making voting more difficult for military families serving overseas, seniors, students or married women whose paperwork doesn't match up. I refuse to believe we can't have both election integrity and accessible voting for all who are eligible.
Now it's time for you to make your voice heard.
This is your chance and your right to speak up and let your choices be known. Look at your ballot. Return it early. With so much on the line for San Diegans, every vote counts.
And, if you agree that every eligible voter should have the freedom to participate in our democracy without obstacles, I would humbly ask you to exercise that right by voting for me in this critical primary election.COMMIT TO VOTE [[link removed]]
Thank you for being part of our campaign and fighting to protect the issues that matter to San Diego.
