I hope you are staying cool in this sunny California heat wave! As we are now less than 80 days away from Election Day, our team has been continuing to ramp up our campaign, making tens of thousands of phone calls, organizing events and sending out postcards to voters.
Now more than ever, we need a leader that will stand up for those in the 39th District. Too many in our community have been ignored and our representatives have continued to put their partisan interests before the people they serve. We deserve better. It's time to get to work!
100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment Today, we mark the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment and women achieving the right to vote. This is an amazing milestone and I am proud of the progress we have made on women’s rights since. I know that what I and so many women have been able to achieve is thanks to the women who came before us. As we celebrate this anniversary, we remember the women who have paved the way and made it possible for so many to advance in our society.
