Dear Friend,

The U.S. State Department just refused to accept a federal judge’s decision recognizing the birthright citizenship of Kessem Kiviti, the 18-month-old daughter of dads Roee and Adiel Kiviti. The Trump administration is fully committed to denying equal rights to same-sex couples and their children.

What’s at stake here is significant. By treating Kessem as "born out of wedlock,” the government is essentially saying Roee and Adiel aren’t married. That same-sex couples don’t have the same rights as every other couple. That our hard-fought victory at the Supreme Court in 2015 doesn’t matter.

But Friend—we know better. We have been fighting and winning this fight for years, and we’re not about to stop now. We’re in this for the long haul, but we can’t do it alone. Consider making a gift today of $100 so we can keep showing up for queer families.

CONTRIBUTE $100 TO OUR FIGHT FOR FAMILIES
Remember—a generous donor is MATCHING ALL NEW GIFTS this year. Give today, and it will count double!
Kessem, Adiel, Lev, and Roee Kiviti
“We are undeterred. We are doing this not just for our daughter and our family but so that other families won’t have to.” —Roee Kiviti

Roee’s words inspire us and keep us focused on our vision for the future: equality and justice for all LGBTQ families. And Friend—your generosity today will help make that vision a reality. Make your contribution of $100, and a generous donor will match it 100%!

DONATE TO OUR FIGHT FOR LGBTQ FAMILIES

Thank you for your tireless support,
