I’ve spent my career rooting out corruption in NEPA. From the Scranton School Board to the Auditor General’s office to reforming City Hall as mayor, I have fought waste, cronyism, and abuse of trust so that government works for real people. Now, as your nominee, I’ll take this fight all the way to Washington.
Rob Bresnahan ran for this seat promising to ban congressional stock trading, and then became one of the most active traders in Congress. He’s using these trades to profit from his votes. His defense that a financial adviser handles everything does not answer the basic question of whose interests he is serving.
People in NEPA are tired of politicians who treat public office like a personal profit center. They want accountability. They want leaders who refuse special interest money and who close the loopholes that let public officials profit off their office. That is exactly what I will fight for in Congress. It’s time we have someone representing us who’s ready to get their hands dirty and do what it takes to bring back wins to NEPA. It’s time for someone scrappier in Congress.
Can you chip in $10 or whatever you can right now to strengthen our fight to fire Rob Bresnahan in November?
Gratefully,
Mayor Paige Cognetti
