I'm RJ, an organizer in Houston for Battleground Texas. One of my jobs is to register as many Texans to vote as possible -- we've got a goal of getting 50,000 Texans registered before the 2020 primaries begin.

But I've got a lot of ground to cover throughout the Houston area. So if I want to reach my goals, I've got to drive. A lot.

I don't mind it -- turning on the A/C, maybe rolling down the windows when it's not 90+ degrees outside. But gas is far from free -- and it can get pretty expensive driving to and from voter registration events all week.

That's why the team at HQ set a goal of raising $7,000 by the end of June to help organizers like me pay for gas so we can reach Texans all over the state -- and it's a pretty big state.

They tell me we're still a long way away from where we need to be -- so can you do us organizers a huge favor and help us cover as much ground as possible in the second biggest state in the U.S. by chipping in today?
