John,

Thank you to everyone who came out to our USPS rally today outside of the Thomas P. Costin Jr. Post Office Building location in Lynn. In response to intense public pressure from engaged citizens like you, Trump’s appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced he would suspend changes to the Postal Service until after Election Day!

As Seth said earlier, today marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote in 1920. Yet - today, we’re still fighting to make sure everyone’s right to vote is protected and their voices are counted.

The attempted attacks on the Postal Service from Louis DeJoy and Donald Trump have been a stark reminder that our democracy is a fragile thing. And as Michelle Obama pointed out last night, if you think things can’t get worse, think again.

Add your name to our petition to call on Trump not to sabotage the post office and let people cast their vote in this election.

We held that rally today because everyone’s right to vote is sacred. We’re standing up for veterans who are waiting for their prescriptions to come in the mail. We’re standing up for Americans waiting for a paycheck and every parent waiting for the school supplies they ordered. We’re standing up for our letter carriers and the postal service workers.

Postmaster DeJoy’s announcement that service reductions will be delayed until later this year is a great first step, but all of us need to stay committed to holding the administration accountable. It’s clear we’re going to have to stand up every day from now until Election Day to make sure that the postal service keeps running and that everyone has a chance to cast their ballot in this election.

Stand with us today by adding your name to our petition.

The attacks we’re seeing are so brazenly corrupt it’s hard to understand how we got to this point. But if we’re going to get things back to normal, we’ve got to work our hearts out the next ten weeks.

Team Moulton
