Trump just openly admitted that he’s defunding the postal service because he doesn't want it to be used for mail-in voting this November. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

This is blatant voter suppression, John.

Trump just openly admitted that he’s defunding the postal service because he wants to sabotage mail-in voting this November.

This is Trump’s attempt to rig the election and disenfranchise millions of voters. If Congress doesn’t act immediately to fund the USPS, people’s lives and our democracy will be threatened.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is holding a vote on Saturday in the House on a bill that would prevent any changes or delays to the postal service. We need the House and Senate to pass this bill immediately.

Will you send a message to your member of Congress right now demanding that they pass the Delivering for America Act to protect the USPS and stop voter suppression?

Save the USPS →

Trump thinks he can get away with manipulating another election in his favor, but we’re ready to fight. We will be working to make sure that everyone in our movement has the information they need to vote safely.

Thanks to people power, it was announced that the USPS will maintain service through the election – but Congress still needs to step up, hold Trump accountable, and fully fund the postal service now.

Not only is Trump defunding the USPS, he appointed one of his millionaire mega-donors, Louis DeJoy, as Postmaster General in June. During his tenure, Mr. DeJoy has eliminated employee overtime and removed mail sorting machines to slow down the mail service before November.

DeJoy has donated $1.2 million to the Trump campaign and has investments in companies that compete with the USPS.1 His allegiance is to Trump, not our democracy and the institution he’s supposed to lead.

Congress must act now to secure the funding that the USPS needs so that everyone can vote safely this November and have their vote counted.

No one should have to choose between their health and their vote. Despite Trump’s propaganda on Twitter, there is no evidence that vote-by-mail leads to election fraud of any kind.

Our ability to fight for climate justice and the communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis depends on the strength of our democracy – and that starts with voting.

With resolve,
