Team,
On this day 100 years ago, women's right to vote was enshrined in the Constitution. This right wasn't given freely. The Suffrage movement fought a long and hard campaign that stretched nearly a hundred years to finally receive this right. But still, the 19th amendment opened the doors for millions of American women to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Now, the upcoming November election is one for the history books. We have the choice to decide between progress, or four more years of Donald Trump. This election, let's do everything we can to make sure our vote counts. Go to my website now to learn how to vote-by-mail, vote early in person, or vote on Election Day! [[link removed]]

Of course, many women, especially Black women, were still denied the right to vote at the ballot box for decades afterward. And sadly, today we still see racially discriminatory voter suppression around the country. And this year, with COVID-19 threatening to disrupt our elections, Donald Trump has assumed the role of suppressor-in-chief -- his blatant attempts to cripple the USPS just in time for a largely mail-in election are beyond disgusting.
But we cannot allow Trump's efforts to stop us from voting! And with just one month until early voting begins in Virginia, we must do everything we can to ensure our vote is counted, while also protecting our health. That's why I'm encouraging you to visit my website to learn what you need to do to vote in November NOW! [[link removed]]

As Michelle Obama said last night at the Democratic National Convention: "If we want to keep the possibility of progress alive in our time, if we want to be able to look our children in the eye after this election, we have got to reassert our place in American history and we have got to do everything we can to elect my friend, Joe Biden, as the next president of the United States."
Let's not forget Michelle's words in the upcoming months.
