 Get your Representative to condition US funding to Israel Dear Supporter, By now, you’ve probably heard about President Trump’s announcement last week that Israel is suspending its plans to formally annex additional Palestinian land as part of the UAE-Israeli deal to normalize diplomatic relations. Unlike what some politicians have claimed, Israel’s plans for annexation are merely suspended for now and not off the table. Meanwhile, Israel’s de facto annexation of Palestinian land continues everyday through its illegal colonization, forced displacement, and home demolitions. As Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) best stated it, last week’s “diplomatic agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates changes nothing. Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump have taken nothing off the table. Their promises and commitments are worthless because they have both proven, time and time again, that they cannot be trusted.” That’s why we need you, Supporter, to take two actions today to continue advocating against Israel’s potential formal annexation of more Palestinian land: 1. Ask your Representative to cosponsor the Israeli Annexation Non-Recognition Act, Rep. McCollum’s historic bill she introduced last Friday. This bill would withhold US recognition of Israeli annexation and prevent US funding from supporting annexation. This is exactly the type of bill we need to hold Israel accountable for its violations of Palestinian rights and impose on it consequences for doing so. 2. Register for our first-ever virtual Palestine Advocacy Days, September 14-18. Join Reps.
