John, A few days ago, I appeared on MSNBC to talk about the unacceptable conditions people in the Bronx find themselves in — a situation where working families and small businesses have been left to fend for themselves. That is because the Senate, led by Mitch McConnell, has refused to pass the HEROES Act — legislation that would create a new wave of coronavirus relief for individuals and small businesses. The Bronx can’t wait any longer. People are hurting now. We must come together and demand that the Senate pass the HEROES Act immediately. Can I count on you to add your name to demand that Mitch McConnell and the Senate pass the HEROES Act to provide urgent COVID-19 relief?
Our borough is experiencing unemployment at levels never before seen. The crisis is being compounded by the lack of federal government aid is providing for its citizens. And that is just unacceptable. The United States government should be there for its people. The House has done its job by passing the HEROES Act, now it's the Senate’s turn.
