Every city, town, and neighborhood I visit across Virginia, I hear people telling me the same thing: costs are too high.
Gas prices are through the roof. Groceries are more expensive. Housing is less and less accessible. Energy bills are up. Families and small businesses are feeling squeezed. And Trump’s illegal war is making it all worse.
Then Donald Trump told us exactly what he thinks about the affordability crisis:

Yes, he really said, “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation.”
But he didn’t need to say that out loud for us to know it’s true.
It’s self-evident. Trump’s every economic policy makes clear that he couldn’t care less about everyday Americans. And while millions of families struggle because of these idiotic policies, Trump is requesting $1 billion for a new ballroom (the same one that he previously claimed would be funded by private donations).
Just like more than a decade ago when he said he would build a wall on our southern border and make Mexico pay for it — American taxpayers keep having to foot the bill for things they never wanted in the first place.
Donald Trump is a grifter in chief. At the end of the day, his top priority as President is enriching himself and his friends — period.
All of this is why this year's midterms matter so much.
We have a real chance to disrupt the GOP's trifecta, flip the House, and take back the Senate. But we have to put in the work right now.
If you’re in a position to donate, will you chip in today to my Common Ground PAC to help elect Democrats in Virginia and all over the country who will actually work on behalf of the people? [[link removed]]

We can lower costs, protect working families, and hold this administration accountable — but only if we stand together.
Thank you for joining in the fight.
