DSA Statewide Campaign for Prop 15 (Schools and Communities First)
Santa Barbara Chapter Kickoff, September 1
Labor Day Weekend of Action, September 5-7
This November, Californians will be voting to reclaim an estimated $12 Billion dollars annually for our schools and communities via a tax on large corporations. Our chapter endorsed Prop 15 at our last meeting and is organizing towards a chapter kickoff and labor day weekend of action. Follow the organizing in the WhatsApp chats below or attend our chapter meeting to get involved!
Steering Committee Interest Meetings and Elections
- Interest Meetings: Thursday, August 27, and Sunday, September 6, Times TBD
- Steering Committee Elections: Thursday, September 24, 6:30pm to 7:30pm
We will be holding open meetings for DSA members interested in running for a position on our Steering Committee. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions about what to expect from a position and meet other members who are also interested in running. To read about the positions we will be electing, please refer to Article 5 of our Chapter Bylaws. Steering committee elections will take place on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30pm.

SB DSA uses an optional digital platform for sharing info, discussions within working groups, coordinating last minute volunteer requests and more.
