Postal workers are delivering lifesaving medications, pandemic necessities, and preparing to deliver millions of ballots this election. That's why, in light of recent attacks by the Trump administration, there's been such an energized outpouring of support for the beloved Postal Service.

Thousands of people have already committed to join neighborhood events at local post offices around the country this Saturday, August 22, at 11 a.m. to save the post office from Trump and demand that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy resign.

Here's what to expect at your local Save the Post Office event:

We suggest that events be limited to 50 or fewer participants to keep them physically distant and safe; hosts can set lower limits in line with local public health guidelines. The host guide will include suggestions for safer protesting practices, as well as other tips to help you have a successful day.
Hosts are encouraged to set events for 11:00 a.m., but other times on Saturday, August 22, are permissible. Dates other than Saturday will not be allowed on the map. Be sure to check the map to see what time the event closest to you is happening.
Post offices are the preferred location, but other outdoor, public venues, such as outside a local U.S. Senate office are allowed.
We are committed to maintaining public health measures to practice safe protesting during the pandemic. All event participants will be expected to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and follow all local safety guidelines.
Hosts are responsible for compliance with your own local laws and event requirements (including orders limiting the size of events).

Additionally, a core principle shared by the supporting organizations is a commitment to nonviolent, peaceful actions. All actions that are sponsored or organized are intended to be nonviolent and peaceful. We expect all participants to act lawfully at all times and to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
