Your hard-earned tax dollars should be safeguarded — not squandered.
While plenty of politicians insist that they’re champions of fiscal responsibility, few truly bear the record to substantiate their empty claims.
But as a man of my word, I have the record to prove that I’m a fiscal hawk.
Whether it's through my work on the House Appropriations and Budget Committees or my votes on the House floor, you can always count on me to continue fighting for fiscal sanity and future generations of Georgians through my work in Congress.
In fact, I'm honored to be one of just 53 Members of Congress who received the National Taxpayers Union's 2025 Taxpayers’ Friend Award. The prestigious recognition is earned by achieving an “A” grade on votes related to taxes, spending, debt, and regulations. From passing historic tax cuts to advancing significant spending cuts, my record consistently demonstrates a principled commitment to protecting Northeast Georgian taxpayers and getting our nation's fiscal house in order.
I’ve also led countless cost-saving measures through the annual appropriations process, as well as supported strong pieces of fiscally responsible legislation. For example, I’m proud to be an original cosponsor of the Earmark Elimination Act, which would permanently ban federal earmarks.
Pork barrel spending is notoriously known for being plagued with abuse. Furthermore, the federal government has increasingly expanded its constitutional authority over our daily lives through numerous avenues, including earmark spending. As James Madison explained, the powers of the federal government are “few and defined” and those reserved to the states are “numerous and indefinite.” If we truly honored the Constitution’s limitations on federal power, there would be far less waste, fraud, and abuse.Â
After all, a federal government that has the authority to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take away everything you have!
Additionally, I fully support the Trump Administration’s nationwide crackdown on waste, fraud, and abuse. Vice President Vance’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud is already leading to results, uncovering billions of dollars in fraud.
Folks, your tax dollars should never be used to fund health care for illegal aliens or purchase luxury cars for Somali fraudsters. That’s why I applaud President Trump and Vice President Vance in both protecting American taxpayers and pursuing accountability. Every solitary individual involved in stealing your tax dollars must be investigated, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Bottom line, Northeast Georgians demand and deserve a fiscally responsible fighter in Washington. I’m deeply honored to take on this critical role as your voice in Congress.
