Hey john,
By now, you’ve probably heard the Supreme Court ruled that the abortion drug, mifepristone, can still be prescribed via telehealth and sent by mail — FOR NOW. It’s cold comfort as this case will almost certainly end up back before the Court with a track record on reproductive rights that can most charitably be described as catastrophic.
Meanwhile, the FDA is conducting its own review of mifepristone in order to put into question its 25 YEARS OF PROVEN SAFETY using an anti-abortion group’s so-called “study” filled with junk science and invented data.
This is very real, very scary, and exactly why Abortion Access Front IS ALREADY ON IT, but we need your help to respond in full AbortionAF force! [link removed]

Last week, we announced that we’re fighting back hard alongside a coalition of partners with the launch of MifeStories.com [[link removed]] — a new project collecting firsthand accounts from people who have used mifepristone. Our goal is to deliver these real experiences directly to the FDA as a counter narrative to the misinformation in the study under review. With FDA recommendations expected this fall, we’re moving at full speed to prepare a major document drop ahead of the decision.

Here’s what you need to know:
The FDA’s fake study is based on a single report from a conservative think tank called the Ethics and Public Policy Center — never peer-reviewed, never published in a medical journal — whose core claim is that nearly 11% of patients experience serious complications.
That's roughly 22 times higher than what decades of actual clinical research shows, and researchers say the report got there by counting things like a routine ultrasound appointment as a "serious adverse event." Thirteen major medical organizations have called the science into question. But that means nothing when the powers-that-be believe science is just an opinion.
This is exactly why AAF created the MifeStories.com [[link removed]] and why it matters right now. Over 7.5 million Americans have used mifepristone safely since it was approved in 2000.

Do you have a medication abortion story you would like to share? If so, you can use this form: [link removed] It’s completely anonymous. We’re not collecting emails or IP addresses, and nothing is traceable to you.
If the FDA is going to make decisions about this drug, those decisions should be informed by real data from real people, not a political document dressed up as research.
We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, and the timeline is short.
I’m so grateful for you and your support.
