One Thread - Party with a Purpose" Dear Friends, The Silver Thread Collective <[link removed]> is an initiative I launched one year ago to support Muslims working in the arts and entertainment industries. For decades, Muslim creatives have faced discrimination, exclusion, and limited access to creative opportunities. In recent years, these challenges have intensified, particularly for those who are vocal supporters of Palestine. Many Muslim creatives have been dropped by their agents, seen their contracts cancelled, or simply been 'unhired' because of their unapologetic advocacy. In response, I founded the Silver Thread and its companion Community Arts Grant <[link removed]> to provide micro-grants and mentorship to these creatives, while fostering a safe space for marginalized Muslims to feel safe and affirmed in their artistic journey. To celebrate this milestone, I invite you to join us on the evening of June 6 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM for Many Voices. One Thread <[link removed]> in Los Angeles. During the event, we'll spotlight the Muslim creators we’ve supported as they showcase their projects and reflect on the impact the Silver Thread has had on their work.
