Friends,

It’s been 100 years to the date since the 19th Amendment’s ratification to the U.S. Constitution.

This historical moment marked the day that women in our country were granted the right to vote. While this was a huge milestone for voting rights, it did not include all women. Women of color were excluded and did not have the right to vote for several years to come.

Today, we’ve come a long way, and now all U.S. citizens constitutionally have the right to vote once they are 18 years of age. But even still, our voting rights are currently under attack.

Voter suppression remains a serious threat to our democracy with obstacles like gerrymandering, limited mail-in voting options, voter registration restrictions, and lack of polling locations.

That’s why, as Secretary of State for New Mexico, I’m working hard to educate the public on voter equality issues and ensure that everyone’s voices are heard through fair voting and clean elections.

Will you pitch in $19 today to celebrate the passage of the 19th Amendment and help me fight back against voter suppression and protect voting rights?

Thanks for standing with me,
Maggie
