Because health insurance is tied to employment, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, over 30 million people have lost their jobs and millions have also lost their health insurance. No one should have to depend on employment in order to receive care when in need.

Medicare for All will mean that every person — regardless of income or wealth — will have access to comprehensive health care that includes preventative and emergency care, along with prescription medicines, dental, vision, and mental health services.
