It’s Jane Fonda.

I’m reaching out to personally invite you to join me this Sunday at 12PM PT/ 1PM MT for a virtual phonebank to help elect Matthew McQueen as New Mexico’s next Commissioner of Public Lands.

Matthew is exactly the kind of leader we need right now. He’s a lifelong conservationist and a proven climate champion who has spent years fighting for bold action in the New Mexico legislature. He’s led efforts to increase the rates paid by oil and gas companies on state land, restrict nuclear waste storage, expand renewable energy, and protect public lands.

This office matters more than most people realize. 

The Commissioner for Public Lands serves as a de facto regulator of the oil and gas industry in New Mexico, which means the winner of this race will decide whether polluters are held accountable or if they can continue getting away with business as usual.
