ISI seeding the academy!

John,

Did you know that 18 percent of social scientists consider themselves Marxist compared to only 5 percent who identify as conservatives? Or that nearly 40 percent of top-tier liberal arts colleges have zero registered Republicans in the ranks of their entire faculties?

With college faculties skewing so liberal, there has never been a greater need for first-rate professors who will defend the principles of liberty. That's why ISI's graduate fellowship program is more important than ever!

Since 1964, ISI has awarded fellowships to more than 600 graduate students, most of whom have become professors. They have taught thousands of students during their careers.

I am proud to announce that ISI just selected a new class of Weaver Graduate Fellows for the 2020–21 academic year. These 15 outstanding PhD candidates represent top schools including Harvard, Georgetown, the University of Wisconsin, Indiana University, Marquette, Notre Dame, and the University of Dallas.

ISI's graduate fellows are a tremendous long-term investment. Besides teaching, former graduate fellows have become leaders in government, public policy, and other areas. Well-known alumni include The Heritage Foundation's Ed Feulner; Hillsdale College president Larry Arnn; Tyler Cowen, best-selling author and professor of economics at George Mason University; and John F. Lehman Jr., Secretary of the Navy under Ronald Reagan.

Thank you for your generous support, which is helping to brighten the future of the academy. ISI looks forward to continuing the success of our graduate fellowship program with this year's class, bringing lasting voices for freedom to the American university and many other areas of society!

Think. Live Free,
