Thank you for everything you do to protect and preserve our national parks.

Dear Friend of the National Parks,

There is no time to waste turning back threats to America's
national parks.

From carving a mining road through Gates of the Arctic National
Preserve ... to allowing oil and gas drilling on the borders of
Great Basin National Park and other glorious parks ... to putting
every national park in peril by gutting the National Environmental
Policy Act, which has protected public lands for more than 50 years
...

... the threats to the most magnificent places in our country
keep growing.

It is in difficult times like this that I am most grateful for you,
friend. Dedicated friends like you are the best hope for the
future health, beauty and existence of all your national parks.

And that's why NPCA is bringing back our annual Giving Day on
August 25

- the national parks' 104th birthday - to unite
thoughtful individuals like you to win new victories for your parks in
Congress, courtrooms and communities across the country.

We have set a Giving Day goal of raising $50,000 by August 25. But,
given that parks from coast to coast have never been at greater risk,
I hope you won't wait to participate.

Please join NPCA by making your Giving Day contribution to NPCA today
to help us preserve and protect the parks you love.

When you join NPCA during our Giving Day campaign with a gift of $15
or more, you will receive members-only benefits, including a
subscription to National Parks, our award-winning quarterly magazine
... the Park-Pak, our exclusive travel information kit on request
... a members-only NPCA bucket hat ... and more.

Plus, you will get to be a part of thrilling victories like the Great
American Outdoors Act, historic legislation that was recently passed
by Congress thanks to NPCA and friends like you who sent thousands of
emails and made thousands of phone calls demanding action to address
decades of neglect and underfunding of our beloved parks.

This bill will provide funds to repair aging infrastructure in
America's more than 400 national park sites, including crumbling
roads, worn-out trails, and failing water and sewer systems ...
to better protect and increase access to public lands across the
country ... to create tens of thousands of jobs and bring
much-needed relief to local communities struggling as a result of the
COVID-19 pandemic ... and more.

Unfortunately, this bipartisan show of congressional support for
national parks has not stopped, or even slowed, the
administration's aggressive attacks on our public lands, the
agencies that manage them, and the irreplaceable resources these
places protect.

The fight for our parks is far from over - and we need your
help to win it. Will you step up with one of the very first gifts we
need to reach our Giving Day goal?

For 101 years, NPCA has taken the lead in protecting the parks we
love. No other organization has more experience ... or had more
success ... fighting for America's favorite places and the
millions who cherish them. And every victory, including the Great
American Outdoors Act, belongs to caring friends like you.

That's why NPCA's Giving Day is so important. With the
national parks facing some of the biggest threats in their history, it
is going to take every NPCA member and supporter doing their part to
preserve and enhance our nation's most iconic and inspirational
places - now and for future generations.

Please join today and help us reach our Giving Day campaign goal so
we can be at full strength for the tough park protection battles
ahead.

Thank you for all you do for your national parks!

With gratitude,

Theresa Pierno
President and CEO

P.S. At the same time both parties in Congress were passing the Great
American Outdoors Act, the administration was removing protections for
yet another national monument, the stunning Northeast Canyons and
Seamounts Marine National Monument. We have to keep fighting to
protect our public lands - and we need your continued support to
do it.

Please be one of the first to make a difference for your parks by
joining today with your strongest Giving Day donation to NPCA right
now - thank you!
