Municipal Campus Project

Mendota Heights is planning for a new City Hall and Police Station building. Project details and design will be developed throughout 2026 with anticipated construction beginning in 2027. The new facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2028.

Preliminary designs have been developed with the vision of the city council and the project oversight committee that integrate community feedback. These preliminary designs are subject to change based on feedback.

The preliminary designs can be viewed through this link: Preliminary Designs Link [ [link removed] ]

Frequently Asked Questions about the project can be found here: Frequently Asked Questions [ [link removed] ]

Community feedback has been collected on this project following the City Council’s direction to develop a proposal for the Muncipal Campus Project in December of 2025.

Share your feedback on the designs through Sunday May 17, 2026 through the Project Comment Card button below. Please rate how well the project team used public feedback to inform preliminary design in each category on a scale of 1-5,  More information is available at the project website [ [link removed] ].

Pet Safety Reminder

Spring has brought an increase in pet-related complaints in Mendota Heights, including dogs off leash, pet waste left behind, excessive barking, and cats roaming onto neighboring properties.

Keeping pets under control is one of the best ways to protect them and be a considerate neighbor.

Please remember to:

* Keep dogs on a leash when off your property
* Clean up after your pets
* Minimize excessive barking
* Keep cats on your property

Pets that roam freely may be at risk from traffic, wildlife, and other hazards. Thank you for helping keep Mendota Heights a safe and enjoyable community for everyone—people and pets alike.
